모래 위의 엉덩 자국 (Buttprints in the Sand)

One night I had a wondrous dream,
어느 날 밤 나는 한 놀라운 꿈을 꾸었습니다 One set of footprints there was seen,
그곳에 발자국 한 세트가 보였는데
The footprints of my precious Lord,
그 발자국은 나의 소중한 주님의 것이었습니다 But mine were not along the shore.
그러나 나의 발자국은 해안을 따라 나 있지 않았습니다

But then some stranger prints appeared,
그런데 그때 몇 개의 이상한 자국들이 나타났습니다 And I asked the Lord, "What have we here?"
나는 주님께 물었습니다,
“여기 있는 이것들이 무엇입니까?”라고
Those prints are large and round and neat,
그 자국들은 크고 둥글고 그리고 단정했습니다."But Lord they are too big for feet."
”하지만 주님 저것들은 발자국이라고 하기엔 너무 큽니다.”

"My child," He said in somber tones,
“내 아이야,”
그분은 침울한 음성으로 말씀하셨습니다
"For miles I carried you alone.
“수마일 동안을 내가 너를 업고 오면서
I challenged you to walk in faith,
나는 네가 믿음 안에서 걷기를 독려했었지
But you refused and made me wait."
그러나 너는 거절했고 나를 기다리게 만들었다” "You disobeyed, you would not grow,
너는 불순종 했고, 너는 성장하려고 하지 않았으며
The walk of faith, you would not know.
믿음으로 걷는 길을 알려고조차 하지 않았어
So I got tired, I got fed up,
그래서 나는 피곤했고, 지쳤단다. and there I dropped you on your butt."
하여 내가 너를 너의 엉덩이로 매어친 것이다.
"Because in life, there comes a time,
왜냐하면 삶이란, 어느 한 순간이 닥치는데,
when one must fight, and one must climb.
때로는 싸워야만 하고, 그리고 어떤 때는 기어 올라가야만 하고
When one must rise and take a stand,
때로는 서 있어야 하고
그리고 또 어떤 때는 일어나야만 한단다.
or leave their butt prints in the sand."
그렇지 않으면 모래 사장에 그들의 엉덩 자국만 남길 뿐이지”
