우리가 예수님을
바로 믿기로 결정하면서부터
엘리야의 기름부음과
능력을 원하지만

From the moment
we decide to believe in Jesus rightly,
we long for Elijah’s anointing
and power,

오히려 연속 되는 고난과
질병, 이런 것들에서
자유함을 얻지 못하고

yet instead,
we often find ourselves
unable to break free from
continual trials, suffering,
and illness.

날마다 좌절의 벽에 부딪쳐
다 포기하고 싶어집니다.
그러나 염려마세요.

Day after day,
we crash into walls of discouragement
and feel like giving up altogether.
But do not be afraid.

당신이 이해할 수 없는 환란과
고난을 받는 것은 당신에게
믿음이 없어서가 아니라

The trials and afflictions
you cannot understand
are not because you lack faith—

그 반대일 수 있습니다
사탄은 믿음의 사람을
아주 싫어합니다.

they may be precisely the opposite.
Satan despises people of faith,

왜냐하면 믿음의 사람은
죄와 타협하기를 거부하기 때문입니다

because they refuse to compromise with sin.

이런 당신을 지옥이
먼저 알고 있는 것입니다.

Hell already knows who you are.

또 하늘 아버지의 사랑은
거듭난 그대를 화려한
궁궐이 아닌,
고독 속에서 거치고
메마른 광야로
몰아가도록 허락하십니다.

And the love of our
Heavenly Father,
for the one who is born again,
does not lead first to a splendid palace,
but permits a journey
into loneliness, into the rough
and barren wilderness.

광야에서 받는 혹독한 시련은
당신 안에 있는 교만, 사탄의 종되었던
사악한 기질, 자아가 박살나고
겸손의 주님을 배울 수 있기 때문입니다.

For in the wilderness,
through harsh trials,
the pride within us is shattered,
the old nature once enslaved to Satan is broken, and we learn the humility of the Lord.

모세, 요셉, 다윗, 바울도
모두 광야의 고난을 겪었지요.

Moses, Joseph, David, and Paul—
all of them passed through
the suffering of the wilderness.

이런 호된 고난과 눈물 속에서도
꺽이지 않고 피어난 믿음의 향기가
바로 하늘 향기입니다.

Even amid such fierce
trials and tears,
the fragrance of faith
that blooms unbroken is
the fragrance of heaven.

지옥은 압니다.
그대가 하늘의 향기를 지녔는가
아니면 지옥의 냄새를 풍기는가

Hell knows it well—
whether you carry the scent
of heaven or the stench of hell.

그대가 하늘 향기를 지녔다면
그대 앞에 지옥이 떨며
결사적인 발악으로 낙심
혼란 좌절  이런 불화살을
쏘아댑니다.

If you bear the fragrance of heaven,
hell trembles before you
and launches desperate attacks,
shooting fiery arrows of discouragement, confusion, and despair.

이것들을 타파할 수 있는
무기가 무엇일까요?

What weapon can shatter them all?

믿음, 오직 십자가 위에서
갈기갈기 찢기시면서도
굴하지 않고 끝내 승리하신
그리스도를 믿는 믿음,

Faith, Faith in Christ,
who was torn apart upon the cross
yet did not yield,
and who triumphed in the end.

흔들림 없는 당신의 믿음 뿐입니다.
믿음이 세상을 이기는 승리입니다!
할렐루야!

Nothing but your unwavering faith.
Faith is the victory
that overcomes the world.
